Climbing and abseiling normally took place on a natural rock face a short coach ride from the PGL activity centre.
The older Cubs and Scouts visited the site and had a great day, however when it was time for the younger ones to go we found the road blocked by the French farmers protesting about some agricultural policy.
After sitting in traffic jams for over an hour it was decided we would not be able to get to the rock face so we returned to the PGL centre and used their indoor climbing wall.
