Christmas Fun Day
Around 70 Beavers took part in the Christmas Fun Day which
was held at Littlemoor School.
During
the afternoon the Beavers went to 5 bases, most with a Christmas theme,
and a games base. As a result of visiting each base they were able to take
home a Christmas card, a calendar for next year, a puppet which looked
like Nemo popping up from under the waves, Christmas table decorations and
some crackers.
The games base included a floor version of noughts and
crosses, splat the rat, and a mini ten pin bowling game.
The afternoon was rounded off with a short sing song and a
visit from Father Christmas who had a small present for everyone.
The Beavers all had a good time and are now looking
forward to Santa's visit on Dec 24th.
County Fun Day
Although only a few Beavers from Oldham took part in the
County Fun Day, those who did attend had a great time and came away with
lots of souvenirs.
During the day they visited a number of bases and played
lots and games. They also had the opportunity to ride on the grass sledges
and practice for next winters downhill races.
Easter Fun Day
64 Beavers took part in a craft afternoon where each base
had an Easter Theme.
The bases included making an Easter / Mothers Day card,
an Easter bunny, a chicken sitting in it's nest, a fridge magnet in the
shape of an Easter bunny, a decorative spring daffodil, and some edible
Easter treats.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the afternoon
finished with them playing some parachute games and receiving a goody
bag to take home.
