Christmas Fun Day

Almost 80 Beaver Scouts took part in a fun afternoon of games and crafts at their Christmas Fun Day.

During the afternoon they visted 7 bases and made several items including angels, gift boxes, crowns, christmas crackers, decorated biscuits and played some games.

Most of the items they made were covered in glue and glitter with just as much getting onto them as on the items they had made.

As well as making things most of the Beavers also had their faces painted. Some of the designs also included a bit of glitter just to add a bit of sparkle to the occasion.

After an afternoon full of fun the Beavers then sang a number of Christmas songs and carols and had a surprise visit from Santa Claus who had brought a couple of presents for everybody.

Beavers Visit Camelot

Around 100 Beavers, leaders and helpers visited Camelot Theme Park for their annual day trip.

As soon as they arrived they rushed into the park to be the first onto the rides. Fortunately for many leaders most Beavers were too small to go on many of the more scary rides but that didn't stop them having a great day.

At lunchtime they all gathered in the Avalon Arena to watch Mad Edgars crazy antics and the Jousting display.

The day finished with everyone singing Happy Birthday to Zack and sharing a piece of his special Birthday Cake.

Easter Fun Day

Over 50 Beavers from 6 Colonies took part in the Easter Fun Day held at Strinsdale Country Park.

During the afternoon the Beavers took part in a number of activities including; making Butterflies, Bees and Frogs with coloured paper and pipe cleaners. Hedgehogs from potatoes and mustard & cress seeds, fridge magnets with Hama beads, Easter nests with chocolate and shredded wheat, and went on a trail leading to a pond where they were able to go pond dipping.
