Beaver Activities in 2001

Xmas Fun Day

Over 50 Beavers from 6 Colonies took part in 7 different activities, all based on a Christmas theme.

These included making sweets and biscuits, hamer bead decorations, Christmas crackers and assorted tree decorations with tinsel, glitter, cardboard, glue, paint and many other bits and pieces.

They also had the opportunity to drive remote controlled cars around an obstacle course, play a number of games and go on a treasure hunt for the missing gold "pieces of eight".

Here we can see some of the Beavers obviously enjoying themselves

What's going to happen? Let me think Happy times

Carol Concert

The Beavers Annual Carol Service took place at St Barnabas Church on Monday, 3 December.

Around 60 Beavers plus parents, brothers and sisters joined in singing a number of carols and listened to the story of the birth of Jesus.

During the service everyone was given a candle which was lit during the singing of Silent Night and Beavers from St Barnabas led the prayers. The service finished with everyone singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" then all the Beavers were given a Christingle orange, a drink and some sweets.
